Robert-Struppmann Museum

The Robert-Struppmann-Museum was opened in May 1989. The focus is on the art collection of Pastor Anton Karl Pfaff (1872-1926), who bequeathed his collection to his hometown Lorch in 1925. The museum building consists of three small floors and predominantly exhibits sacred medieval sculptures from around 1400. At the center is the head of John the Baptist. The Lorch grape Madonna is also worth seeing. In addition, findings from the Lorch area are displayed in showcases. The oldest exhibits are a neck ring and a child's bracelet from the Bronze Age. Ceramic finds from the Roman period, medieval utensils, and drinking vessels from the Baroque era are also presented.
