In the field of view of the stele, you can see in the foreground at the edge of the old Rhine terrace area the probably sandiest vineyard of the Rheingau. The Schwemmbach has cut into the subsoil and thereby exposed the sands. On the opposite valley side lie the Vollradser Schlossberg, the Vollradser Wäldchen, and Schloss Vollrads.
