In the foreground of the stele, you see the city of Geisenheim at the foot of the Rothenberg, with the Rheingauer Cathedral as well as the greenhouses and experimental fields of the Geisenheim University. The view from Rothenberg was honored as the "Most Beautiful Wine View" of the Rheingau by the German Wine Institute in 2012.
