The Pinot Noir from the KRONE Assmannshausen winery is among the finest in Germany. The current Krone cellar was established 150 years ago in Assmannshausen under the guidance of Erwin Brück. This cellar was hand-carved into the rock of Assmanshäuser Frankenthal like a tunnel. At 60 meters long, it is one of the most significant natural rock cellars in Germany that is still actively managed today. A nearly constant temperature and humidity throughout the year create excellent conditions for our Pinot Noirs to rest in the barrique. Even after 150 years, winemaking takes place in our own rock cellar in Assmannshausen. Many traditional methods remain modern in every era.
