Christmas Market Program

In December, the Place of German Unity in Eltville once again becomes that atmospheric location that has, for many years now, become the traditional meeting place for Eltvillers and their guests during Advent. Lively, like a piazza, yet also a place reminiscent of childhood, surrounded by fir trees, a ski hut, and a large nativity scene. Open daily from 3.00 p.m.

It smells of cookies; the scent of oranges, cinnamon, and cloves fills the air, softly accompanied by festive Christmas music heard throughout the square. Children cannot get enough of the nativity scene, while parents sample hot mulled wine, stars shine, and laughter emanates from the hut – at the Eltville Christmas Market, one experiences a break from everyday stress and enjoys Advent. Following in the footsteps of Santa Claus.

There is always something happening at the Place of German Unity. Here, young and old come together, just to enjoy or for a cozy Advent celebration. Musical performances and surprising activities expand the program. For the little ones, there is once again a carousel next to the nativity scene. The daily program is rounded off with a visit from Santa Claus at 5.00 p.m. at the Advent calendar.
