Some hide behind closed doors, in ancient legends, or in the surprising events of monastic everyday life. With the new tour format "Mysterious Eberbach," the Eberbach Monastery Foundation invites visitors to discover the cultural monument from an unusual perspective.

The tour leads through the most significant areas of the monastery complex – from the cloister to the chapter house to the historic cabinet cellar and the hospital. Again and again, it opens up new viewpoints on seemingly familiar places and reveals details that visitors may overlook during a regular tour.

A particular highlight is the insight behind doors that usually remain closed. Guests gain access to hidden areas of the monastery and experience what the impressive attic behind the "Forbidden Door" above the monks' dormitory looks like, along with the historical clockwork and the legendary secret passage in the powerful wall of the basilica.
