The historic winepress hall, featuring state-of-the-art wine storage technology and a wine shop, is located on the ring road in Erbach and is the home base of the Erbach winemaking cooperative, founded in 1953. This is where the aromatic grape harvest from the 31-member families is vinified, producing fruity, mineral Rieslings and velvety Pinot Noirs. Special reds mature to perfection in German, American and French oak barrels. Wines praised by the most reputable wine guides are served alongside local Rheingau cuisine at the ‘Zum Engel’ wine tavern on the market square.
