The Hattenheim winemakers invite you to the wine and gourmet path in the Hattenheim vineyards on October 3rd and 4th, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
For more than three decades, NATUR PUR has been a staple of the Rheingau event calendar. What started as a regional initiative has long since developed into a nationally recognized event that attracts guests from near and far to Hattenheim. Along the path between Hattenheim train station and the Steinberg estate, 14 wineries present their wines and culinary specialties. The offerings range from Riesling to Pinot Noir, from dry to mild, and from vegan gourmet cuisine to traditional wild bratwurst.

To ensure smooth traffic flow, all traffic to the village will be directed via the roundabout at the Oestrich (EBS) exit. Through traffic in Hattenheim from the direction of Erbach is not possible; access via the gas station and Kronenschlösschen is also closed. Numerous additional parking spaces are available and are clearly marked.
The organizers still recommend leaving the car behind and arriving by public transport.

All current information can also be found at www.hattenheim.de or on the websites of the participating wineries.

Assmannshausen Höllenberg – Location of World Renown On the south-facing slopes, almost exclusively Pinot Noir is cultivated. The success story of Pinot Noir in the Rheingau begins with the Cistercian monks. They came from Burgundy to the Rheingau and founded Eberbach Abbey. They already appreciated the unique location of the Assmannshausen Höllenberg. The name-givers are the steep slate slopes. The name is derived from Halde (slope) and has nothing to do with "hell". The meadows at Klosterwald bear witness to the Rheingau monastic culture. Not far from here was the former Cistercian nunnery of Marienhausen, subordinate to Eberbach Abbey. Today, the Marienkirche on the grounds of the St. Vincenzstift in Aulhausen can still be visited.
