In the tension between old and new, wine now flows instead of brandy into the glass at the Vinothek RheinWeinWelt. In the historic Asbach site in Rüdesheim, 76 wineries with two wines each from Nierstein to Königswinter invite you to taste.
This happens here in an unusual way and becomes a physical experience that is unmatched in Germany. In the old historical wine tanks, lined with opaquely shimmering original glass tiles and with a capacity of up to 70,000 liters, where the raw brandy once aged during the Asbach times, specially designed dispensers stand, in which the wines are always cooled or warmed to the optimal temperature.
To taste and perhaps discover your favorite wine, you need tokens just like in a casino. After inserting a coin, 0.02 liters flows into the glass held underneath.
The connected RheinWeinWelt-Lounge promises no less play with aromas. Those who have tasted enough can enjoy authentic regional and always freshly prepared "home cooking", a snack, or coffee, and daily freshly baked cake here!
