In Lorch, 6.7 km, from the car ferry:

Pedestrian bridge over B 42 to the old B 42, left, through railway underpass "Rheingasse" into Rheinstraße and straight into Oberweg, passing the Protestant community hall and the Catholic Church of St. Martin, over the marketplace, then right through Langgasse, turn left into "Drosselgasse" (dining opportunity: Weinwirtschaft Laquai), down left over Schwalbacher Straße to NASPA (dining opportunity opposite: Hotel Arnsteiner Hof), at NASPA right through Moser alley and over the Wisper footbridge, then left and immediately right into Weiselberg (dining opportunity: Weingut Weiler), after 100 m left into the hollow path to stairs, left onto the drive/trail below Nollig Castle ruins. Path leads past a seating area with viewpoint, after 200 m left path (Castle path, not Rheinsteig) to the Clemens Chapel of Lorchhausen, then left past the chapel, behind the cross to the next curve, there keep left and take the lower path right towards Lorch, at the next curve keep left again and take the lower path right towards Lorch. At the next curve turn right, the path leads to the curve Jahnstraße / Am Rebenhang. There turn left into Jahnstraße, past the fire station and the "Kirchspiel", before the leprosarium turn left over the stone bridge, then right into Rheinstraße, past Strunk, Hilchenhaus and other historic buildings of Rheinstraße (dining opportunities: Weingut Germersheimer, Hotel Zur Krone, Weingut Mohr) to behind the vintner's inn Rössler (dining opportunity), then right again into "Rheingasse" through railway underpass, then left and right over the pedestrian bridge over B 42 to the car ferry.

In Niederheimbach, 6 km, from the car ferry:
Along the Rhine from the ferry to the underpass B9 / K28 (in front of the KD hut), up the Heimbach valley to the school, - there turn right to the sweet cherry tree (at the crossroads "Zum Tempelchen"), - over the pasture through two gates the path to the little temple, - from there down past the cemetery, - left at the bench over the cart path into the Heimbach valley, - there sharply right towards Oberheimbach, - at the first turn left into Raubenhellerweg, - in front of the kindergarten right to Ernst-Heilmann viewpoint (Märchenhainstr.), - there a few meters further right into Löwenhellerweg along Erschbach towards Schloßberghof to Soonecker Str., - (for experienced hikers further 1.5 km to Sooneck Castle), - at Sooneckerstr. left towards the new residential area, - then at the corner Soonecker Str. left into Märchenhain to the kindergarten, - at kindergarten sharp right over Märchenweg (cow path) right into the village, - from there back over the sidewalk along B9 to the ferry.
