From the Brentano barn, the path leads a little further through the outskirts of Winkel until a small valley is reached between the green vineyards. The Schwemmbach brook winds hidden between the rows of vines towards the Greiffenberg. The viewpoint on the castle’s local hill lives up to the name of the Riesling Loop: It opens up a wonderful view of the Riesling sea, the Rhine river, and the castles Vollrads and Johannisberg. The path follows the nature trail through the little Vollrads forest and circles the building complex. Johannisberg with its dominating castle accompanies the scenery until the route leads back down to the starting point through the Winkeler Hasensprung vineyard.
