Today, the castle, probably dating back to the 12th century, is a popular venue.

Our family business has now been established for five generations. Jakob Vogt (great-grandfather of Georg Vollmer) began growing wine in 1900. In 1979, Georg and Gerti Vollmer suddenly moved their living area two stories up and opened the still popular wine tavern on the ground floor, which is favored by locals and tourists alike. Since 2014, Georg and his son Christoph have been running the winery together, sharing their passion for viticulture and the local wine tavern. A total vineyard area of 5 hectares is cultivated, distributed across the Rüdesheimer, Eibinger, and Geisenheimer locations. The majority of the area is planted with the typical Rheingau Riesling (about 90%), while the remaining area is planted with Pinot Noir.
