The simple, 3 by 3 meter building in the midst of the Flörsheim Switzerland dates back to 1715. A small pilgrimage takes place once a year in the chapel of the Wiesenmühle. In 2001, the members of the Kolping families from Hochheim, Flörsheim, and the Frankfurt West revived an old tradition: an annual district pilgrimage to a prominent sacred building. One must search the region for a long time before finding a more charming pilgrimage site than the St. Anna Chapel. The newly revitalized tradition of the pilgrimage traces back to a vow made by Pastor Christian Preis from Hochheim. He had promised the senior manager of the Wiesenmühle, Erna Schneider, who had taken over the operation with her husband Georg in 1949, a service at the chapel on her deathbed.
