The 6.7 kilometer circular route leads through the vineyards of Rüdesheim to the parish and pilgrimage church Eibingen and the Abbey of St. Hildegard. At the sights and most beautiful viewpoints you get an insight into the life of Hildegard and the landscape in her time. The route starts from the passenger ferry Bingen/Rüdesheim or from Rüdesheim train station first to Brömserburg and then with a small ascent into the vineyard landscape of Rüdesheim. Via Eibingen with the parish and pilgrimage church you reach the Abbey of St. Hildegard and then walk along the hillside with a wide view of the Rhine valley. At the viaduct of the former cog railway, you then go back to Rüdesheim on an ancient trail connection, the Kuhweg. In addition to a general overview at the ferry and the parking lot at the ring wall, the information panels first depict Brömserburg and the medieval landscape a little above on the slope. At this location below the cable car, you can also trace where Hildegard's monastery stood on the Rupertsberg. Detailed information is also available at the parish and pilgrimage church Eibingen as well as at the Abbey of St. Hildegard. Finally, Hildegard's nature and healing knowledge is depicted at a beautiful lime tree. The path is marked with the distinctive symbol of Hildegard von Bingen. At decision points there are signposts with destination and kilometer information, so that good orientation is always possible.
