As a pure winemaking operation, Jacob Albus founded the  Albus Winery in 1928. Together with his wife Beate, Dietmar runs the family business in the 3rd generation, and with son Stefan and his wife Anita, the 4th generation is already on board. The young winemaker brings fresh ideas into the operation.
The Albus Winery cultivates a vineyard area of 7 hectares, which is 90 percent planted with Riesling and 10 percent with Spätburgunder, Weißburgunder, and Müller-Thurgau. Through a gentle, cooled fermentation in stainless steel barrels, on the one hand, the aromas and the fine fruit notes of the Rheingau Riesling are particularly emphasized, and on the other hand, a natural residual sweetness of the wines can be preserved.
The range from the  Albus Winery  extends from liter to premium wines.
Bottling in bottles with the innovative Stelvin closure avoids cork taint and guarantees consistent quality, even with longer storage.
