Willi Jonas, the father of the two brothers, greatly influenced this wine stand during his lifetime. When one helped out, guests would often greet them in a friendly manner, but also with the words "Is your father not here?" And that was not an insult towards the new generation, but rather a compliment to the father, who had already been raised into the hospitality business and who revolutionized it in his own way. Once upon a time, there was a spontaneous idea
… that led our parents Willi and Silvia Jonas to open a small wine stand in our estate in 1996. Initially, it was meant to be just a short experiment: a few tables, a few bottles of wine, and good conversations among friends. But it didn’t take long for it to become something much more. More and more guests began to visit, enjoying Rheingau wine in a cozy atmosphere and listening to stories from winemaker life.

What started as a spontaneous idea developed into a permanent fixture of our winery. With each season, the small wine stand grew and became a popular meeting place for connoisseurs, day-trippers, and regulars alike. Our father not only brought his beloved wines to the public here, but also his contagious joy of life. It is this warm hospitality that characterizes the wine stand to this day – a place where spontaneity and sociability meet exquisite wines, turning an "Once upon a time" into an ongoing success story.
