The path can be walked from Frauenstein or Schierstein and is designed as a circular hiking trail with a total length of 6.8 km. The main route is 3.7 km, and via the side route you return to the starting point.
The start in Frauenstein begins slightly below the Goethestein, then heads towards the Goethestein below the Traubeneichen grove. After about 500 meters, turn left and follow the signs along the Middle Vineyard Path to Hof Nürnberg. Just below Hof Nürnberg, the path makes a sharp bend and leads towards Schierstein into the Leierbach valley. Below the Haus Himmelreich, you go through the Schierstein Hell to the Schönstatt Chapel, the endpoint in Schierstein.
For the return, you can walk back through the “Grunsels Börnchen” and the “Grorother Mill” through orchards and wetlands in the valley back to Frauenstein.
