Orchestral talents and professionals together on the big stage
Youth work? Both we from the Rheingau Music Festival and the hr-Sinfonieorchester find it very important. That is why we invite you this year to the Side-by-Side concert in the beautiful Kurhaus Wiesbaden. In celebration of 80 years of Hesse, the hr-Sinfonieorchester will take to the stage alongside the Landesjugendsinfonieorchester Hessen – which is regarded as a renowned talent factory in the field of classical music. The collaborative orchestral work provides enormous motivation for the artistic development of the young musicians and sustainably promotes professional musical talent. With this concert project, another chapter in the collaboration is now being opened: While the Landesjugendsinfonieorchester opens the evening with Beethoven's "Coriolan Overture," the hr-Sinfonieorchester, together with the violinist Clara-Jumi Kang, will present the Sibelius Violin Concerto on stage. The second half will be jointly performed: Side by side at the stands, the young orchestral musicians will work together with the professionals on Beethoven's Seventh Symphony in advance and will bring the result to life in the magnificent Friedrich-von-Thiersch-Saal that evening.
