If you enjoy writing stories and would like to develop them further together with other writers, you are warmly invited to join the "Eltville Book Pirates." The writing group meets every second Friday afternoon of the month at 5 p.m. in the Eltville Media Library to work on their texts and present them. Whether fantasy, crime, or contemporary literature: anyone serious about writing is welcome. Participation is open to everyone aged 16 and over. No prior knowledge is necessary – just curiosity and a desire to work on texts. Joining is possible at any time. The next meeting will take place on Friday, August 14, 2026, at the Eltville Media Library.

The writing workshop is set up so that new pirates can come on board at any time: central topics such as character development, dramaturgy, or writing synopses are revisited at regular intervals, while the group simultaneously works on their own text projects.

The group is led by the author Tina Stein, who lives in Eltville, and who not only captures stories with her crew but also occasionally shares muffins. Once or twice a year, the book pirates also present their texts at a public reading.
