This tour is conducted in German and is suitable for individuals aged 16 and over.

English-speaking tours take place on Sundays at 4 p.m.

Participation only with a valid ticket.

  • Can dogs be brought along?: In principle, yes, except that animals are not permitted during the cellar tour, as the cellar is still used for wine production.
  • Can children under the age of 16 be brought along?: Yes, we serve grape juice spritzer to children. Please notify the wine shop and the guest guide one hour in advance so that we can make the necessary preparations.
  • How long does the tour and wine tasting last?: Approximately 90 minutes.
  • Is the tour barrier-free?: The tour of the outdoor facilities and the wine tasting in the Spätlesereitersaal are barrier-free. The cellar is not accessible, as there are 30 steps to descend and another 28 steps at the back of the cellar. If the wine tasting takes place in the old tasting room in the castle, there are also 10 steps to negotiate. As it is a historic building, there is no lift.
  • Is there anything to bear in mind?: As the cellar has a maximum temperature of 12°C even in summer, we recommend bringing a jacket.

The meeting point is the Spätlesereiter monument in the courtyard of Schloss Johannisberg next to the wine shop.

The participation fee is €30.00 per person. This includes the tour, wine and water.
