New Year's Concert

The most beautiful compositions of the Strauss dynasty

The Hungarian Chamber Philharmonic was founded in 1999 by Professor Antal Barnás. It consists of members from the leading orchestras in Budapest and Győr. Within a short period, the ensemble has gained an excellent reputation throughout Europe and has now become a permanent fixture of the European cultural scene. Under the direction of Antal Barnás, the orchestra has developed into a musical body of the highest artistic level. It has performed, among others, with the Vienna Boys' Choir at the Vienna Musikverein and regularly appears at renowned festivals as well as in significant concert halls across Europe.

Annually, the Hungarian Chamber Philharmonic goes on New Year's concert tours through Austria, Germany, and Switzerland with Antal Barnás. Furthermore, the ensemble has performed in prestigious venues such as the Berlin Philharmonic, the Leipzig Gewandhaus, the Kurhaus Wiesbaden, the Golden Hall of the Vienna Musikverein, the Vienna Concert Hall, and the Salzburg Festival Hall. It has also appeared in the Munich Prinzregententheater as well as in Dresden, Nuremberg, and many other cities.
